Wine Country Rogue

About the Rogues

My name is Dean Guadagni and my partner is Susan Hanshaw. We decided to turn our hobby into a service by developing “Wine Country Rogue”, a site which embraces the total winery experience–the tasting rooms, staff, and overall ambiance of each winery. Our goal is to give the wine lover an unbiased first hand description of the experience they can expect when visiting wineries we review.

My family has been in the wine business, as grape producers, cultivating 40 acres of Zinfandel grapes in the greatest region for that varietal in the world: Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County. My grandfather Fred Guadagni introduced me to wine making and tasting in the true Italian tradition: a little glass, diluted with water, out in the woodshed away from my grandmother’s watchful eyes.

In partnership with Susan, a true wine lover, taster, and aficionado, we are presenting our reviews so that other wine lovers will benefit from our experiences.

Before you visit Napa Valley or Sonoma County’s wineries, investigate our reviews for winery ambiance, tasting room staff knowledge and hospitality, romance, value, and upcoming events.

Thanks for visiting!

Dear Dean & Susan, I just today received a Google Alert about your August blog about our Tasting Room at Iron Horse. Thank you! You described everything we strive to be. Now you’ve given us … in writing … what we need to live up to. Again, many thanks and best wishes, Joy Sterling
